The fundraising proceeds of the Blue Tie Ball are used to pay the enrolment costs of local nurses who are studying a Prostate Cancer Nursing course at Latrobe University. Ticket sales and raffles for the great prizes at last year's ball ensured funds were available to pay for three nurses to do the course in 2017.
